No carbs
Low-carb diets have been around for years under various names. What distinguishes them from each other is, among other things, the number of calories consumed. They also differ in terms of nutrient proportions that make up the daily menu. Regardless of the type, a low-carb diet will require giving up eating more carbohydrates and eliminating simple sugars contained in fruits, white bread, rice, and pasta.
In a balanced diet, carbohydrates should supply 44 to 65% of daily caloric requirements. In the case of the low-carb diet, their amount is limited. Its most restrictive variant assumes that the share of carbohydrates in the energy obtained from food in a day should only amount to around 10%. Regardless of the type of carbohydrate diet, it is always based primarily on protein and fat consumption.
